Comments: I was looking for anyone that might have some info on 25th Division 14th Reg. K Company, for my grandpa. All his records were burned in the fire in the 70's. He would be so happy to get any new info. His name is Orvle Lee Goff. I was wondering if any one remembers him, or has pictures. Thank you.

Comments: Hi- I'm also looking for anyone who may have known my dad. Hes ;78 now, and forgetting a lot about some of the guys he served with. I know one is named Youngblood, wore glasses and was blonde crewcut. My dad was a BAR man, and lit his gun on fire so it would fire better in the winter. He was a member of a little group called the chowhounds? He also doesn't talk about Korea at all, and still has nightmares. I know he saw a lot. Liked to take pictures. Still does. Drove a jeep for the motor pool for a while. Anyone remember Richard Sanchez from Chicago? Thanks

Comments: My name is Jon Mori Uyehara and I am helping my Dad PFC Morishin Uyehara retired US Army Korean War Vet find some buddies he served with, we found Col. Lewis Millett. I am still looking for my Platoon Sgt. John Gary from Gary , IN serial# RA44002237 and Sgt. Julian J Silva serial# RA25631587 from New Mexico who fought together in 1951 Korea around Hill 1050 / 180. I was hurt by gernade shrapnel to the face and was evacuated out by helicopter to a Japan Hospital, before I was evacuated Capt. Millett came by and said take care I'll see you later, Platoon Sgt. John Gary was hit also by shrapnel but not bad and Sgt. Julian J Silva wasn't hit bad either and stayed on the Hill. I was transfered to Hawai'i Tripler Hospital and 6 months to recover , after I went to Schofield where I worked as a cook , then went to Maine/NY for about a year and retired after that. I always wanted to find Plt.Sgt. John Gary and Sgt. Julian J Silva to see what happened to them and talk. I found Col. Lewis Millett last month July 2008 and my son is emailing him so we can meet again in California. Because it's hard for me to hear on the phone it's easier to talk in person for me from the gernade injury , but my son has found some info of the guys I served with online and would very much like to contact them again. Kaname Uemura and I took basic training in Hawai'i Schofield and I want to see him too. Hopefully someone will have some info and help me out Thank You.

Dad never spoke of his military past, Ive been trying to research his past and have had some success with the NPRC out of St Louis, However I would love to read the Presidential Unit Citation issued by the US and have not been able to locate it. According to the NPRC he received the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, and I Would appreciate any help or advise in locating the particulars of these awards.I would like to understand, to the best of my never been under fire ability, what he went through in those days. Comments: Looking for historical info this fellow. Walter c. Davidson served as a glider pilot in WWII, as well as serving in the 1st Troop carrier command (all in the same?). I have his wings, dogtags, watch, collar insignia ect... His service # was 7013087. Additionally, he served in the 25th div. of the 65 inf. reg. after being injured and taken off pilot status in Korea and that's why I'm here. I was told this was comprised mainly of Puerto Ricans yet I find references here to Hawaii. Anyone remember this fellow? Or have any info via his service #? I've sent to Ohio records concerning this but it never hurts to ask around. I'm curious what in the world he could have done in an engineers outfit....
regards, mitch

Comments: My Grandfather is Sergeant First Class David Wayne Clark. He has told me the story of his radio operator known as Fakundis (I don't know if the spelling is correct) who was from San Diego. Fakundis was killed while he, and my grandpa, lobbed two grenades into a machine gun emplacement. Baker Company was on its way to help the Marines trapped at the Choson Reservoir in February of 1951. Any information about either of them is greatly appreciated. I can't find any information about Fakundis, which makes me think that the name is not correct. My grandpa is still alive in Las Vegas, NV.

Glen Davis wrote on 2005-08-17 00:00:00.0
Comments: Hi. I'm looking for friends of my Father, Sergeant Gordon Davis, who served in Occupied Japan in the late 1940's and early 1950's. He was from Reisterstown, Maryland and had served in the 101st Airborne Division after WWII. I'm certain he was in charge of Japanese Craftsmen who maintained public buildings in Osaka, Japan. In Japan, he was a member of the 25th Infantry Division and then the Japan Logistical Command before being sent home as a casualty (before the official outbreak of the Korean War? -- He never talked about that much...). He was tall and rather skinny; coached a Japanese girl's ball team (as a Corporal); and the only pictures I can find of him in uniform indicated he made Sergeant (non-combatant little gold-on-blue three stripes with a rocker, while wearing the JLC DUI) and he usually wore a garrison hat rather than the overseas caps of others in the pictures.

Comments: I've recently been really tring to find any of the guys who my husband served with in the korean war. He was at the 38th parelle and served with the 27th wolfhounds 25th inf. div. Between the dates of sept. 1951 and may of 1952 He remembers a Lt. Graham was there and a jeep driver and a radio operator besides himself Lt. Graham and himself were forward observers,I really believe it would help his anxiety about the war if he could find any one who was there with him. It may help if you knew a little about eddie he's from new york and is Italian, he has a very good since of humor He just needs to talk too some one who has been thru the same things he's been thru. please e-mail with any information you may have that would help my eddie close this chapter of his life. I'm very proud of him for what he did for his country. and for the rest of the men and woman who served in not only the korean war, the war from what I see on the internet is begining too be the remembering war instead of the forgoten war, but all the other wars before and after. Thank you ! And may god bless you everyone.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who served with my Uncle, Heejun Kim in 25th Inf. Div from 1951 to 1953 or has any information about the organization of 25th Inf. Div during Korea War. My uncle, my father in law¡¯s elder brother, was a Korean citizen but he served in 25th Infantry division of US 8th army. (I am not sure he was KATUSA or belongs to other organizations). Anyway he became MIA during the war and My father in law family want to know whether he is alive or dead, if he was fallen, where , when and how he died. An evidence to prove that he served in 25th Inf. Div. is a photograph where he wear US military uniform with 25th infantary logo. Another convince about his army service in US troops is my father¡¯ in law¡¯s memory. My father in law remember that he went his brother¡¯s brigade located at Chunryangrhee, East of Seoul, and met him. At that time he said to his younger brother that he will move to another place soon and said to hello other family members. My father in law recalled there are lots of trucks and many Turkish troops instead of white man. I guess my uncle was assigned in UNC brigade which is under controlled by 25th Div. Commander. My father-in law also heard it from someone that he was wounded at the battle near Wonju in March 1953. He was sent to MASH at south Seoul but he never recovered and finally fallen at MASH bed. However it is not clear that the story is true or not. He eagerly would like to hear any things about his elder brother before dying. If you have any information, please e-mail me at yhkim@nanoditech.com. Thanks

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my grandfather, CHARLES EDWARD LEWIS. He was in the 25th infantry and, said that when he went to Korea in 1951, he was put with the Oklahoma 25th infantry--I think, from 1951 and 1952. I am not sure if he was in the 25th infantry before he was with the Oklahoma 25th. He couldn't recall, and I don't know much about it.
Charles Edward Lewis was also in the California 45th infantry from 1952-1954. I am looking for ways to find info on him and the people he was with, and the people that he knew. He is NOT SO good with names, and it bothers him.
He is alive and doing well, and is finally talking about Korea. I would like to help him, by finding old friends.
Please send me an email if you know him, or know of ways where I can find more info about him and the Korean war. My email address is: Screenwryt@aol.com

Comments: Since I was two years old when my brother went into the Army and to Korea, I am not familiar with his experiences, and he never spoke of them. (he died 1986). I have been reading a letter he had written home dated Oct. 1951 where he has arrived in Japan and that he had been assigned to the 25th Infantry Divison. He finds he is 'C profile' and that 'A profile' would be the front line in combat. They were to land at (this name is hard to read) Inchon or Incleon, "it's around the 38 degree parallel someplace on the coast" he states. I understand the 38 degree parallel is where the Korean War was first started. I am trying to locate this area. Any help will be appreciated. Sincerely, Barbara
