EDDIE L BELLETT |
| EDDIE L. BELLETT JR. wrote on September 26, 2011 City and State: WINCHESTER VA Unit: Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN Comments: My dad was in the 79th Tank Bn, 25th ID. We were due to join him on Okanawia when the war started. July 50 was when we were to join him. He was a combat vet of WWll 17th Amored Inf and a survivor of that unit. I know finally it was tough battle in Herlisheim, but Korea really affected him. I served 22 years AF and Army and thankfully I did not endure what he did. He is gone, it took years for us to get to know each other, after I had been Army and became a E5 Sgt we started to bond. He is gone, but I miss him greatly. Anybody know him/ I have a picture of him in Korea with a Korean boy, and was so angry about that kid being with my dad. I think he was a surrogate for me. Anyway to you all you did good and Korean vets aren't forgotten by me. Keywords: Pusan Pocket I don't know much else. He was in the S3 shop and a E6 I think maybe E7 (Master Sgt at that tme). |

I'm looking for friends of my Father, Sergeant Gordon Davis, who served in Occupied Japan in the late 1940's and early 1950's. He was from Reisterstown, Maryland and had served in the 101st Airborne Division after WWII. I'm certain he was in charge of Japanese Craftsmen who maintained public buildings in Osaka, Japan. In Japan, he was a member of the 25th Infantry Division and then the Japan Logistical Command before being sent home as a casualty (before the official outbreak of the Korean War? -- He never talked about that much...). He was tall and rather skinny; coached a Japanese girl's ball team (as a Corporal); and the only pictures I can find of him in uniform indicated he made Sergeant (non-combatant little gold-on-blue three stripes with a rocker, while wearing the JLC DUI) and he usually wore a garrison hat rather than the overseas caps of others in the pictures. | EDWARD ANGRISANI wrote on April 11, 2005 City and State: Unit: 27TH INF REGIMENT Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN - KOREA Comments: I've recently been really tring to find any of the guys who my husband served with in the korean war. He was at the 38th parelle and served with the 27th wolfhounds 25th inf. div. Between the dates of sept. 1951 and may of 1952 He remembers a Lt. Graham was there and a jeep driver and a radio operator besides himself Lt. Graham and himself were forward observers,I really believe it would help his anxiety about the war if he could find any one who was there with him. It may help if you knew a little about eddie he's from new york and is Italian, he has a very good since of humor He just needs to talk too some one who has been thru the same things he's been thru. please e-mail with any information you may have that would help my eddie close this chapter of his life. I'm very proud of him for what he did for his country. and for the rest of the men and woman who served in not only the korean war, the war from what I see on the internet is begining too be the remembering war instead of the forgoten war, but all the other wars before and after. Thank you ! And may god bless you everyone. Keywords: joe lupo of fargo north dakota |
