I was with the motor pool group 25th Medical HQ CO and drove for the Colonel the last 3 to 4 months I was there and I also ran the movie projectors part time & wrote vehicle trip tickets among many other things just to stay busy. Our motor pool sergent was SGT RUPERT. I went by JAMES while in the service

He got hurt in 1952 was taken by ambulance to Tong Dong Pole and then by airvac to Tokyo General Hospital. We have tried in vain to locate his medical records. Anyone with any info or that might know him please respond ASAP. They tell us his records burned in ST. Louis, Surely there is more than one copy out there. Please help if you can, I'm sure my Dad is not the only one searching for medical records. Thanks for your time, there is a finders fee of $1,000.00 for copies of his records. Thank You... Dad was a corporal with the Army Medical Service, 27th infantry regiment, 25th infantry Division.. He was in a battle on the 25th and 26th of Sept. 1950, in Taesong ni, Company K. 27th infantry was engaged in this battle.. I would like to hear from anyone that was there in that battle or knew him.. He received quite a citation for that battle.. Again his name is Herbert G. Penney.. He was in Osaka, Japan with the 25th. He got out before they went to Korea. I have a letter from Pfc. David Horner sent Aug '50 from Korea to my father. In part, it says: Boy, if they try to get you back in this SOB Army do anything you can to stay out. Boy, are we catching hell over here and don't believe all that stuff you read in the papers. They even issued us fifty caliber machine guns and carbines. If you know of my father, who went home to Farmersville, TX from the service(enlisted 1941), I'd truly enjoy the information.
