JOHN B. CRABTREE 5TH RCT-RADIO OPERATOR |
| TINA GREGORY (CRABTREE) wrote on June 26, 2010 City and State: CONCORD CA Unit: Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: I am looking for friends who served with my Dad in Korea. He is alive and well and he is my hero, so hoping to get him in contact with some of his buddies. He was a Radio Operator, 5th RCT, Punchbowl sector. He was deployed with X Corps and was attached successively to the 25th, 40th and 45th Infantry Divisions, I believe. Towards the end of the war, his unit was overrun during "Hold At All Costs" initiative at Outpost Harry and so many were lost. If you served with him, or have information you might share with me if you made his acquaintance, I would be most grateful. God Bless You all. You remain always in my prayers of gratitude for your devotion, courage and bravery. Keywords: Horrible Hill, Outpost Harry, Punch Bowl, Radio Operator |
