Comments: I would love to hear from anyone who served with my dad in Korea. Dad was career military and retired from the army as a colonel in 1967. He never talked about any of his wars much except of one ambush in North Korea which killed his best friend Cpt. Parker Pratt. I believe this happened on 12-9-50. I would like to know more about that day.

Comments: My Dad served in the Korean War in the 24th infantry division. He tells me many stories of his service in Korea. Ususally starts them by saying,"you don't know how many times you came close to never being born." He has a bronze star and a combat medic badge. He has the 24th infantry division patch on one sleeve of his old army jacket. On the other sleeve is a patch that has a navy blue back ground (circle patch, with a smaller, thinner red circle, with a white capital "A" in the center. Was wondering what that patch was or means. Dad served 2 combat missions in Korea. Also has a patch that is the #2 Red/white on an olive green background. What does that mean?
