Came home shortly after cease fire signed. Served in Company B in 1952 and then Company A in 1953. Have not been back to Korea.

Comments: I recently visited Korea again after some 53 years. I was invited to attend a convention of Korean War veterans from 16 nations that fought under the UN banner in Korea. It was something to see that variety of guys from all corners of the globe. But the main impression was of today's Korea. Unrecognizable! The ruins of Seoul have been replaced with a completely modern city- and the traditional villages are now 15-20 storey apartment blocks. Superhighways, bridges and raillines everywhere. As for our reception- it was something. All those aged Korean generals lined up to shake the hands of this big group of also aged ex-servicemen.
A memorable visit for sure.

Now am getting on up there and some how every nite I dream of that damn bridge over the Han river we had to try and reconstruct. Was there when it was destroyed and again to rebuild one..now you should see the beautiful city and the bridge..tears will fill your eyes..every one there should go and see for yourself..Emmitt Taylor
