Anyone who knew Charles Burgan |

Samuel Burgan wrote on 2003-09-02 07:26:08.0
Comments: My father Charles Burgan recently passed away. After his death I learned that he was awarded five Bronze Stars for his service in Korea. I would like to correspond with anyone who served with him or knew him. He was also a golden gloves boxer in the army and was sometimes known as "Boxing Baines Burgan".
Thank you.

Looking for info on my grandfather... |

Craig Marshall wrote on 2001-10-24 00:04:31.0
Comments: My grandfather Norman F. Marshall was killed in Korea in July of 1950. He was a doctor here in the States and I believe he was a medical officer as well in Korea. He was from Colorado and was almost 30 years old at the time of his death. If anyone knew him or could share any information they have about him...it would be greatly appreciated. You would be surprised how little I have been able to gather about him, so anything would be helpful. Even if you didn't know him and might be aware of places to search that could possibly give me some more info...that would be great. Thank you and God bless the U.S.A.

Comments: I am looking for all information on my dad, Elwood Harvey Gedling, who served in the Korean War from I believe September to December 1950. He was "thrown out" because the Army found out he was under age. He doesn't talk a lot to me about it, and he was shot in the shoulder. I forgot what unit he was in. If anyone remembers this name, please respond

Virginia Phillips wrote on 2001-02-19 09:37:41.0
Comments: Capt. Downey (Jack) was a long time friend of my mother's. We found a picture of him as a prisoner in the POW Museum at Andersonville, GA. She gave them the info she had on Jack and they were kind enough to make copies of the picture for us. He was from a little place in Georgia called Longpond, Montgomery County. I know he died in Gainesville, FL.

Comments: Looking for any information about, or to contact anyone who may have served with my cousin Robert G. "Bobby" Pallesen (E-2), 24th Inf Div, 24th Arty, Svc #:16305067, MOS 00861, from Racine, Wisconsin. From what I can surmise, he was possibly a part of Task Force Smith, was captured 14 July 1950 (possibly indicating he was with the 63rd FAB as many of them were also listed as captured that day), and died (per Johnson's list) 31 Oct 1950 at an unknown location. Also any information on obtaining his POW/MIA bracelet would be very much appreciated.
