Comments: I was a gunner in the second platoon of C Company, 245th Tank Battalion and served in Korea from Dec. 1951 to November 1952. I have information for Preston Wolff if he would contact me. Also I am trying to locate the driver for the 21 tank during that period. His last name was Allen and he was from Kentucky. Also would like info on bow gunner Frank Gray, last known address Pueblo Colorado. We all served in Lt. Barney Kengla's tank.

I served most of my time with the 45 Inf Div as platoon leader of 3d
Plt, Co B 245 Tk Bn. In later years and in World War11, I served 25
years in the army and was with many different outfits; but I never met
a more outstanding military organization than the 45 Div in those days.
I am extremely proud of my service with that outfit and will never
forget those days. We had a lot of hards times and some good times and
those boys stood up to them all without question.

I would like to no more about this batttalion please. My Uncle served in
the war. He was in the Army and I have a newspaper copy of when he
recieved his Bronze Star and Purple Heart! He passed away 13 years ago
and he never talked about what he had done in the war to recieve his
medals.
He wasn't one to brag , and when I would ask he would just tell me I was
to young to talk about the Korean War. Please if you can let me know
what he was Honored for.
His name was Oliver Fredrick Wise he served from Nov.1952 until the war
ended. Thank you for your time.
