Comments: I am seeking information on the 229th Signal Co (OPS)service, awards, ultimate disposition. My father was an enlisted man in one of the 229th signal teams. He was part of a group of veteran Reserve soldiers called up in 1950 and retrained at Camp Lewis,WA. He served 1950-1951. His team was attached to different branches of service and foriegn units. I would like to obtain a unit history for him and ascertain unit awards. He doesn't really think it is important but I would like to pass the info to his Grandchildren. Any information on the 229th Signal co or its parent BN would be appreciated. He has some interesting stories of the retreat and escape from Seoul and the Chinese intervention. Having been to Korea myself has given me a greater understanding of his time there and his frostbite. Thank you for your time. Respectfully Scott W. Wallace MAJ(Ret)
