Comments: I was in Korea in 64-65. Was in Camp Page 226 signal co. We use to go out in the boonies to a place called Chiporie (not sure of the spelling), but we went past camp casey the 7th inf div. was there at the time we crossed the 38th parallel on the way to where we set up our radio truck. If anyone out there knows where its at or around would like to hear from you. I cant find Chiporie on my map or Korea. There was a dinky village down the road from us. The south korean army was on manuvers in oct 64 around us. Thanks Ghost

Thanks so much

Comments: I'm trying to figure out what our dad did and what unit he was in with the Army in Korea in 1954-55. He never told us his battaltion/company/regiment, and we have no documentation. I know one of his service ribbons is the U.N. service ribbon. Anyone who might be familiar with Signal Corps graduate from Camp Gordon, GA. in 1954-55, or units assigned in-country those years, please contact me. I know that he was usually in a radio shack and rather isolated and handled primarily coded transmissions. But we simply have NO records indicating a unit, battalion, company, or anything else.

Thank You,

David Sauls

Comments: Strolling back to “62” The following I remember.

Those who got higher all lived in ”Wire” Unless it was on Mt. Useless .

Alert areas in fields of snow Mountain roads with only one way to go.

The smell of ”Kimpshi” in the air Was only second to the honey buckets there.

Those names remembered are, Captain Wilcox, Larry Fultz, Sgt Britt, Sgt Faust, Dave Frisch, Ron Chandler, George Platz, Sgt Averett, Big Jon Bartick, Lt. Plourde, Bob Young, George Erdman, Jon Baird, Parsons, Sgt Joe Ferris and one tough First 1st Sgt, who’s name escapes me. I also have good memories of the KATUSA’s who served with us. That is all.

Comments: I’m looking for friends of my father Charlie Charamut. He told me he was in the 226th and that he was stationed at Camp Cooke. If anyone remembers him or knows how I can get a picture or a patch that was worn by the 226th please let me know. He told me it was something like the scull of steer. I’m a retired Master Sergeant from the Air Force and just wanted to help him retrace his history. Thanks for any help
