Comments: My father, Ralph R. Dickey, was in the army from November of 1950 to October of 1952 and was a Master Sergeant by the end of his enlistment. I would like to hear from anyone who knew him, regardless of unit, so that I can put together a booklet for my family and the local historical society. Anyone remember SFC Jerry Groom

Comments: My father was S.F.C. Jerry Groom. He was in the 40th infantry Division, 223rd regiment. I believe he also fought at 'Heartbreak Ridge' 'Sandbay Castle Hill,' and the 'Punchbowl.' in or around October 1952. He passed away in 1993, but I'm interested in hearring any stories about him or his company. He would not talk about the war, I hear he was in a very dangerous group with a high casualty rate, but know little else. If you knew him I would like to hear any memories you might be able to convey to me. This would mean a lot to me as I idolized my father. He was one hell of a man. Any buddies of Earl Powell?

Comments: I am looking for anyone who remembers serving with Earl Powell (Roscoe Earl Powell). He was in Company B, and fought in the Punch Bowl area in the fall of 1952 as a 1st private. Earl Powell was my father (he died of luekemia in 1970). I have been told he spent time in a tank, but not sure in what capacity. He was from Indiana, and was promoted to corporal in March 1953, discharged in 1960.

He has been trying to receive a medal and due to a fire in Kansas City where his records were stored,we are unable to find information to help him to prove he was to recieve his Bronze Star.
