HELPING A VETERAN FOR VA BENEFITS |
| NERVEE VELEZ wrote on April 28, 2005 City and State: CLEVELAND OH Unit: Service or Relationship: OTHER Comments: I work for the va and I am trying to help a veteran verify his stressor statement. I asked the NPRC and they responded that The Military History Institute, Center for Military History and the National Archives and Records Administration do not maintain records submitted by the 21st Medium Port..I was stumped. Where should I go? The veteran (Army) claims that on or about February or March 1953, while serving as Detachment Commander to a Port Provisional Detachment at the 21st Medium Port at Inchon, Korea, enemy aircraft attacked a petroleum, oil and lubricant tank farm; the attack started a fire and killed several Koreans. Veteran further stated that he assisted in trying to put out this blaze which lasted approximately 36 hours. Would you have any suggestions where or which office I should go to to retrieve verification of this event? Keywords: Need information for VA claim |
