AM I ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS?

Comments: I was thinking to myself, how many lost detachments could there be when i started this search to find more about my uncle and what he did in the war. Man have i run into a brick wall. I am thankful i have recieved his replacement medals, some of his records, and i have the uniform he wore home which still had the stub from his bus ride, but im so aggravated that no one can tell me about this lost detachment. Am i asking the right questions? I have here a picture, one of many of his time in korea, with my uncle and a buddy standing by a sign reading, top to bottom, left to right, lost detachment, heavy engineer equipment and maintenance shop, 556, 21st TMP, 46, 3amph. There should be enough clues there to find someone with a slight memory or knowledge of this outfit. Also, you can see what appears to be RR tracks and a ships mast in the background. He was there for 2 years, not all who know about this place can be gone now. Any and all replies to anpstewart@aol.com will be read and replied back to. Any and all info will be so greatly appreciated.Thank you and god bless.......Allen Stewart
