Comments: Good morning everyone, I'm hoping one of you might have a little information for me and my Mother-in-law. We recently lost her husband (Charles Finley)and his medals were re-issued to her but we were told that all his medical and military records were lost in a fire. On his dd-214 under duty assignment it says (DET #12 1262nd ASU) is this his military unit? We are at an impass to find any info about him by alternative methods without knowing this. Can someone please help? He mentioned being in Pusan and being near Seoul, and mixing Napome. I'm hoping someone out there can help. His nickname (FLASH). Thank you, Sincerely Emma Finley

Comments: Was Supply Officer with the 21st Chemical Decon Co. from March 1953 to August 1953. CO was Captain John Ullian, Exec Off was Lt Bob Guthans. Our compound was just east of downtown Seoul next to the "racetrack". We provided napalm mixing trucks for Army ground forces across the MLR.

Comments: I am a high school teacher in Kansas and am trying to instill a sense of what the various engagements were like for my students. Their assignment is to find a letter or diary entry of a Kansan who was involved in the Korean War. It can be to or from the area of conflict. I just want my kids to see the people who lived through the war as "real" instead of just in a book or on a piece of paper. Many letters and diaries have been published on the web for other conflicts but Korea has been difficult to find. Any help in this area would be wonderful. God bless each of you.

Comments: I'm trying to figure out information of my grandfather's service in the Korean War. I don't know much, but he did work for Ratheon a chemical company in massachusetts where my family is from which I believe maybe he had something to do like that in the army. Please email me on any infomation obtained, it's very important to me that I find any links to my grandfather.

Comments: I'm trying to locate anyone who served with my father, Herbert Louis Brown, in the 21st Chemical Decon Co in Korea.

'm unsure of the time frame my father served in Korea. He passed away in 1985 and I'm trying to identify the other men in the pictures I have of him while he was in Korea. His name was Herbert Louis Brown. I would appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks!
