JAMES BINKLEY |
| RUSSELL PETERSON wrote on November 16, 2011 City and State: APPLETON WI Unit: 205TH SIGNAL REPAIR CO Service or Relationship: ARMY VETERAN Comments: Hi I knew Binkley, only name we called him,in 1950. We were together in the 205th. He had put together a jeep that we had scraped up from junked or bombed out jeeps. Only problem was getting the brakes to work good. One day on a trip to someplace in our six truck convoy, we rounded a corner on the narrow roads and the trucks ahead of him had stopped. He couldn't.End of jeep.Pushed it into the ditch. He was a very fun guy. Wasn't he red headed? Just took a chance looking for the 205th on google. Was glad to run across a name I recognized. Best wishes Russ Peterson Keywords: |
