Comments: Production house seeks women nurses, personnel or female soldiers who attended the wounded from Outpost Harry, Iron Triangle or around MLR, or was involved in any way with these Korean areas of conflict, for an on- air interview. Personal photos of the period and assignment would be great. The project has and is interviewing over a dozen US soldiers and half-dozen enemy combatants in China and N. Korea. Please email dinifilms@sbcglobal.net and RE: KOREA!

Comments: I am doing a project on mash units in the Korean War and I was wondering if anyone knew how many people were needed for a mash unit and what kinds of daily tasks did they have to do? And anything else about mash units in the Korean War. Thank u very much.

Comments: I appreciate the service rendered by all of you in spite the fact that sometimes I don't understand the reasons for all these wars. Some are well justified, and clearly reasonable, but some seem senseless. Regardless, you men and women always do the best you can for what you believe: our country. Thank you. Our government officials should be consistent with their retoric and provide uninterrupted services, of all sorts,to all military personnel to thank you for your sacrifices.

That aside, I have been trying to inquire about military advances of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. If anyone has any information and or resources I woild be very grateful if you can share them with me at my above e-mail.

Comments: Dear Sirs, First of all I would like to thank all veterans on this day, Veteran’s Day, which all too few of my generation have little understanding. From the time my family emigrated to these United States we have participated in every major conflict to protect the freedoms of Americans and our allies. I served four years in the Navy but did not see any combat. I take my hat off to those who did… not only on November 11th, but every time I see an American flag. Once again, thank you all. Now, for the other reason I am writing to you all. My name is Kilian Garvey and I am interested in hearing from anyone who might have known my father, Donald J. Garvey. I don’t know much about my father’s service in Korea, but I do know it was with the 1st Cavalry, that my father was a corporal, and served as a medic with a dentist or oral surgeon, most probably in a forward unit. Someone might remember a dark haired, skinny Irish Catholic kid from Queens, New York who played basketball, golf, and was a student at Niagara University before he was drafted. My father died just a few months after I was born, but my mother did not talk about either his life or his service much. My mother passed away almost 10 years ago now, so it is too late to ask her now. I would love to hear from anyone who may have known my pop, please.

Sincerely, Kilian J. Garvey
