Comments: I'm looking for anyone who might've known my daddy. His name was Russell Earl Houston and he was in Korea from January 18, 1949 until December 8, 1952. He was in the HEAVY MORTAR CO, 19TH INF REGT, 24TH DIV SCH CTR. He passed away in 1996 and I miss him dearly - just wanted to know a little more about a phase of his life that he would never talk about. Thank you.

Comments: I was with Charlie Co. from Mar. 1951 thru Oct. 1951. I was wounded and evacuated to Pusan. When i retrned to my unit I was on rotation orders and never went back on line. our last fire fight was surely hell on earth. We were pinned down by the Chinese right after we went on the attack. I was told there were only five left in the platoon that evening and the platoon runner was the highest ranking person still on line. If anyone else was in this battle let me know.

I'm also trying to find the soldier who brought my Uncle's body home to his family a year later. I know he went to see my Uncle's family and couldn't talk to my Grandma Connie (Joe's sister) because she acted just like Joe. If anyone has any inforamtion on these two men please contact me. All I really know is that he was killed in action 10/20/1951 somewhere in Korea. My mother tells me that he received 2 purple hearts during his time of service there. He was from the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, and may have been known as "Rolly" to his friends. I have grown up listening to the stories my mother tells of him as a young boy, and would reall like to learn about the soldier he became.

Comments: I am Gary Morris, John's brother. He also went by the name "Jack". I want to try to possibly locate his body and bring him home and also try to contact other men that may have known him that are still alive today. I want to find out as much about what happen and where it happen. My Dad tried to investigate in the early 50's but was declined all information. He never spoke about it since. From the Coalition database, derived from DPMO data, it indicated Sgt. John C. Morris RA 19340024 missing in action 10/08/1950 and his death as 10/08/1950. However his status is POW and his name appears on the "944 List"...which means he was probably in the hands of the Chinese and/or North Koreans after his capture classified as a prisoner of war. Date of arrival in Korea was approx. July 2, 1950. That is the only information I have so far. Any assistance, information anyone can provide, or anyone that is still alive today that knew my brother, please contact me. Anything is appreciated.

Comments: My name is Gary Morris. My brother Sgt. John (Jack) C. Morris, Jr., in "E" Company, 19th. Infantry Regiment of the 24th. Infantry Division. He was listed on the "944 List" and date of him being killed was 10/8/1950. He was involved in the "Death March of the 200". I'm his only living survivor now, as both our parents are deceased and neither of us have siblings. What I would like to find out is if there is anyone that remembers my brother who I may get in contact with. At the time of his death I was 5 years old, but have fond memories of him as a child. I would like to find out anything I could of where he was killed, and maybe someday be able to have his body brought home. But mostly, I just would like to talk to someone who may have known him. Anything you can assist me with is appreciated.

Comments: 5 yrs ago I found out that I was adopted. I know know that my birthfather was Boyd William Walls Jr and he was a Korean War Veteran.
Now I have no regrets as I have lived like a princess all my life - but I am very curious and interested in finding out information regarding my birthfather.
Boyd is deceased - I never met him.
Here is some information regarding his service:

Boyd William Walls born 8/26/31 NM?
Would appreciate any information regarding my birthdad. He died I believe in El Paso and I believe buried there - but I cannot find a grave record yet.
Thank you and God bless,
