Comments: My dad never really talked about the K. War, just a lot toward the end of his life. Name - L.B. Barnhill Jr. he lived in Sur, Texas. He enlisted at 17, his father signed the papers. He was stationed in the Phillipines. before the war. He was in the 24th division, 19th In. in K. War. He was put at head quarters the last 3 to 5 months in country, driving a jeep, For a Corn. His unit got the Citiation over there. I believe its was the Pres. We have a few pictures from when he was over there. If anyone knew my dad over there please get in touch with me. He was a corporal,over there. His unit was also amushed going back to front line, there was only 3 of them left out of his unit.

Hardy had passed away in 1995, he had shown my many pics of his time in the military and he had often spoken of a friend by the name of Troy "Moon" Mullins of Irvine, KY. Comments: served in korea from aprox. jan. of 1951 to sept. of 1951 I WEIGHED 225 LBS. when I arrived in korea when I left I weighed 160 lbs. my first 2 mo. was as an infantryman next few mo. as food party leader bringing daily rations to the front the rest of my tour company commander driver.
