Comments: Looking for John Breslin from Deleware at the time in the same unit....or any info about him. I was with him when he got injured during a band run in spring of 1956 and I left for home a few weeks later and never knew what became of him, whether he recovered or not. He was still receiving medical treatment when I departed. I was from Maine and still live in Maine. If anyone has any information please contact through email.

Comments: I was in 19th Combat Engineer Bn Hq co. from November 1951 to February 1953. The mailman's last name was Shuman. The last name of one crew member was Sgt Hickey from Maine. The driver of another survey crew's last name was Cunningham but for some reason we called him Honeycutt. He was from Maine. The generator was maintained by Delmar D. Zaleska. He dioed about three years ago.He was from Lodgepole, Nebraska. I'm still looking for anyone I knew over there, especially Cletus Weber. He was the Colonel's jeep driver. Would love to attend a unit reunion.

Keywords: I was called "Tex". Driver of a survey crew. Did a lot of time on K-52 airstrip near Yanggu, Korea.

Comments: Since my first posting, I've learned a bit more. According to a newspaper article pasted in a recently discovered family album, my dad was "...medical commander of a medical detachment of the 19th Engineers, US Army." Any further service info (place, dates, affiliated units, etc.), would be appreciated and add to the family record. :-)

19th Engineers, 1951-53.

Mr. Barker,

On behalf of a friend, Ed Angelo (Cleveland, Ohio), I'm looking for
Rich Phelan from Pennsylvania who served with Ed in 19th Engineers
in Korea in 1952.

They were together from the beginning when they went over on the
troop ship USS Meigs until they returned.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts, please e-mail
(dr.hat@ix.netcom.com) or call
216-251-7338. Thank you.

I myself was in 101st Sig Bn 1951-1952. I notice there's no mention
of that unit (or 19th Eng.).

Thank you.
