Comments: Worked at the MARS station (AD4BX and later, AB4BX) at the 181st with Sgt. Joe Brochon, et. al. Commanding Officers were Maj. J Mahoney, later relieved by Lt. Col J. Cooperhouse.
Would like to find Larry Shimamura, (Maui, HI), Ed Young (Petosky Mich at that time), and Won Young Duk (KATUSA) who served there then.
Also did TDY time at K-14 MARS station (AI3AX and HL9KR) while Airman Tom Williamson was hospitalized and to an A.I.S.S. outfit (can't remember their 4 digit unit number) further up MSR 2.
181st was in Bup Yeong in those days, next to the 74th Ordinance Co. and the 55th QM.
Two compounds down from 121st Evac Hospital and the 8057th Replacement Depot.
Have and will share some photos of both our compound and surrounding area.
Deployed and returned to ZI on the USS Gen. Wm. A. Mann.

Comments: I'm collecting all the patches I wore while in service and would like to know what patch we wore on the left sholder. I can't remember. It seems I remember a patch that looked like the emblem in the middle of the Korean flag. Any help would be appreciated...

Comments: I was the Supply Sgt. for the Depot Company with 385 men. Kim & Greek were my right hand and arm. I returned to the States in 1957 and applied for Missile School at Fort Bliss Texas. I started school Jan 1958 and remained at the school as an instructor until March 1962. I did not reenlist and became a civilian and went to work for General Motors in under sea work and ran the Acoustic Calibration Lab for 20 years. I tested all underwater devices we used to measure noise on Submarines, Aircraft Carriers and many other undersea adventures.

Comments: Hello: I was in the 181st from August, 1951 - July, 1952. I arrived in Pusan at Co. Hdqs, then moved on up to the dump at Wonju - railroad ending at the time. A month or so later I went to the forward dump at Kwandre - right by X Corps Hdqrs. I stayed there until about March, '52, then went to dump at Chunchon - another rail ending point. In July, 52 I transferred to Japan.
