Comments: I am a historian in Gettysburg, PA and have volunteered to research the men from this county and graduates of Gettysburg College who died during the Korean War. I would like to talk to someone who knew First Lt. Allan C. Muhlbach of Company I, 17th Infantry Regiment who was MIA on October 20, 1952.

comments: I am looking for anyone who served with my father, PFC Edward Dunnigan. He was in E Co. I'm not sure which Bn. but he said it was known for making it all the way to the Yalu. Initially, he was assigned as a sniper but later on was reassigned as a BAR man just in time for Pork Chop Hill. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Regrettably, he has passed away, but I remember one story; They were about to go out on patrol, led by a guy from Hawaii (Anthony Hayakawa?). Dad said that he was one of the toughest men he ever saw. He stood in front of the squad, armed with a Thompson SMG, a .38 in a shoulder holster, and a .45 in a hip holster and said while pointing at each man, "If I get hit, you're in charge, if he gets hit, you're in charge..." when he finally got to dad he said, "...and if it gets down to you, RUN!" That's the moment when dad said that he knew that this was serious.

He would kill me if he knew I was telling this.. but.. he has a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and a Silver Star from that period. And a Bronze Star from WWII. I am proud of him obviously.. but he never talks about it much. He has wondered if anybody he knew is still out there. If you were with his outfit please email me.

Comments: I am looking for information about my uncle PVT-E2 Merlin Marshall. He was a medic in the 17 INF RGT 7 INF DIV. He was listed as MIA on April 18,1953 after a battle at Pork Chop Hill. I was born 10 years after his death and I have always wanted to learn more about him. My mother still misses him and always talks about him with great affection. If anyone has any information about him, please contact me. He was from Surry County in North Carolina.

Comments: My father, PFC Raleigh Gresham, from Alabama, was on Porkchop Hill on 7July,53 when the chinese overran their location.

He was severely wounded and credits the medic that was in the bunker with at the time for saving his life. He tended to my father throughout the night until he could be evacuated the next morning.

I am trying to locate anyone who served with my father, especially the medic, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated because he cant remember anyones name that was with him up there.
