Comments: I am looking for any members of the 17th Infantry, 7th Div. that were near the Yalu River in November 1950. I am working on a thesis paper. I would love to do an oral history of this unit and their actions from their organization through December 1950. If any one would be able to assist me in this, please contact me at dfmcmillion@att.net. Thank you and God Bless.

Comments: John Tuin a high school friend was declared MIA on 10/6/52 and KIA in February 1954. His MOS was 4745 (Light Weapons Infantry). His wife received very little information. Apparently considered a possible POW for awhile. No body ever found. Would appreciate any personal information or leads on areas for research.

Comments: I would very much like to hear from anyone that served with my Father on Porkchop Hill.I'm sure he would appreciate seeing them again also.He served the Army from 1951-1954.He was given a Purple Heart;but like many others I am told cannot receive their medals unless someone comes forward as a witness to their actions in war because of paperwork in those years. His seperation paper says he was to receive 2 Bronz stars. It is more important to me that he receives them because I am sure he deserves them.

Comments: Does anyone know Enrique Hector Mello? He was part of the E CO 17TH INF in the Korean war. He was MIA, then classified as KIA. He was killed on July 8th, 1953. I believe it was at pork chop hill. Am not too sure. If you knew him, please email me. I highly doubt anyone has pictures of him, I would love to see them. Although, I know it will be highly unlikely. My uncle was 18 years old when he was killed. I am not sure if he had a nick name, but I hope Mello rings a bell. Thanks

He was put in another unit, possibly l Co. When they came off Hill 598 he was not with them. I have asked Presidents &C ongressmen to help find out what happened to him - very little help there. Tom Evans has searched at the Pentagon also. A little more there. Someone knows-PLEASE,let me know also.

Comments: Looking for anyone who knew PFC Richard N. Clark "Pete". It is my understanding that he was a "machine gunner" in Korea. I've heard that he scored high marksmanship with a machine gun at a flying target before going to Korea. He was KIA not long after arriving in Korea (5/28/1951). I would like to know the circumstances under which he died. He was my uncle, the youngest of my grandmothers children. He was about 6'1" to 6'2", had red wavy hair and had a ruddy complexion. He liked to squirrel hunt and fish. He could shot the eye out of a squirrel in the top of hugh cypress trees. I have seen him snare 6' long gars from the Medina River while floating in a small canoe. e-mail me any info. about him. Thanks, George
