Comments: My uncle,George Z. Hall of Charlotte,MI served 18 month in Korea during 1952-1954.He was an enlisted PFC,dob 7-26-1928. He told me this info: 17th Infantry,7th division,8th Army,3rd battalion hdg.co,and he was a field wireman. He received some sort of medal(for bravery I assume) for riding on the front of a jeep holding a wounded man on. I would like info on how I can get his complete military records, and any other info anyone cares to share with me. He tossed his medals overboard on the way home;I assume he wanted to forget what he'd seen at the time, but now family members are interested and I think he regrets having done so.His memory is not good and I need help putting the story all together! I have his social security number and info if needed to get his records.

Comments: I looking for any information regarding my father (Paul J. O'Rourke) service in Korea. I lost him to cancer 21 years ago and have very limited information about his service. I know that his was awarded the Silver Star for service on Nov.2,1950 at Pungaa, Korea. He was leading a 60mm mortar squad. The listing I have is Company C, 17th INF.,Apo 7. If anyone has any information or photographs, I and his grandkids would very much appreciate it. I'll reward you for your time and effort. THANK YOU

Comments: I trained at Camp Polk and Camp Irwin and was a rifleman and machine gun operator. One of the men in my squad was killed on the 18th of April and he had just learned that his wife had twins. I have since forgotten his name but would like to speak to his wife or one of the twins.

Keywords: I served in Easy Company, 17th Infantry, 7th Division from January 1953 through October 1953. I was wounded at Pork Chop Hill on April 18th and May 8th.

Comments: I am researching the life of Bob Renneman, Jr. for the purpose of writing a screen play that hopefully will capture, in a meaningful way, one of the most poignant and humane and heroic actions of the Korean War. If you have any knowledge of the event or the life of Lt. Renneman which you would share with me, I would be most grateful. Thank you.
