Comments: I am currently a part of a unit that has been officially named the "Pagan Raiders". We are currently deployed in Iraq and have limited background information on the original unit that served in Korea. Any history would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: I am an attorney assisting Mr Elder Evans in a Veteran's Claim. We must establish that he was a member of the 179th--unfortunately his records were lost as a result of the St Louis fire. Mr Evans is a Black Male. He served under a Lt Few (Phew) and was bayoneted on June 1, 1953. He is from Sumter, South Carolina but also had relatives from Brooklyn, New York. We would appreciate any information from anyone who might remember him or Lt Few (Phew) or copies of any reports/logs that might tend to substantiate his service in this unit. Please contact me at (803) 418-0800. Thank you. T. Murphy

Comments: Does anyone know my dad or there when he was shot. My dad was shot on Christmas Hill and to this day has scrap metal is exiting his right temple area. (he received the bronze star w/valor and a purple heart). Before connecting with Wayne and the Chirstmas Hill Brothers. Purple Heart, Bronze Star w/valor and UN Service Metal. My Dad and so many others deserve so much for serving their country. I intend to strive forward, until they pay him for the physical and emotional pain he's suffered for over fifty years!! The 10% is no where close to appropriate. Anyone that served with my dad, please contact me. Thanks and God Bless the Veterans of War

Comments: My dad has been trying to look for anyone from his unit. He only can remember 2 names. One was LANDRY VOID (first name may be incorrect)and a man by the last name of MOTT. My dad carried Mott to safety after a bomb explosion and would really like to find him to see how his life has been. I think Mott was same age as my dad at the time. Mott sent him a Christmas card one year and his father called one time to thank him for saving his son. This is all the info I have. Any information would be much appreciated my dad has done so much for me and my immediate family and I want to be able to give something back to him.

He later served two years in Viet Nam. thanks in advance for any info on my dad.

Comments: My uncle David A. Leonard was killed in Korea 13 June 1952, one day before the end of his tour. I was hoping that anyone who served with him or knew him might share any recollections with me.

I was born 2 years after his death, and his loss was very difficult for my father and his family. They rarely spoke of him, but I know (from family archives) that he was deeply loved.

His parents and siblings are now all passed. I just want to know more about this man, his life, and perhaps the circumstances of his death.

Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Comments: Would like to hear from anyone who served with my father in Korea. He was from Edmond, OK, and started out in HHC, 179th in mine clearing operations. He then volunteered to serve on an outpost which he thinks was near "Alligator".

His 80th birthday is coming up Aug. 11 and I would like to find someone who might tell me a little more about his service.

He is a bit reclusive and I think he would really like to hear from someone who served with him.
