Comments: I was a Korean war orphan. My name used to be Michael Choi. I was kept by a "Sargent Bill" who was the supply sargent w/ the 15th Medical battalion in 1957. I was adopted by the Brother of Daniel "Pete" Anderson who was stationed with the 15th Med. Battalion. I would like to be able to contact anyone who may have information regarding Sargent Bill and who he is, & how I was found. I was about 2 or 3 at that time. Thank you Benjamin Anderson

Comments: Looking for some of my old friends. We had many great mash type experiences. Many days in a unit that no one appreciated at the time. But now as I look back we had enjoyed some of lifes greatest trials and challenges. Some of the days are still vivid in my memory and many we would like to forget. Charlie

Comments: i am trying to find anyone who might remember my grandfather, Monroe Buckner. He served in the 8076th MASH, and i would like to know who some of his buddies might have been. He is alive and doing quite well. Thanks to him, I have become very interested in the MASH unit's history, and i would like to know more from the people who knew him. I also think it would mean a lot to him to be able to possibly re-connect with some old buddies that he has not head from in a while.

Keywords: Monroe Buckner, built a fireplace in one of the tents at the unit, from born in Texas, now from Nashville, Tennessee.

Comments: I can't believe it's been over 25 years since I was in Korea and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Exchange rate was 500 won to a dollar and you could get 'a shot of leg' in the field for 10 lbs of 50 cal brass. Mamasan and her girls would rattle up to our tanks in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and sell us Soju and Portaju grape wine! Anyone who sunk some pipe without a love-glove I'd see in the dispensary the following Monday for clap. I enjoyed the people as they were simple and trusting. The Ugly American came out in allot of GIs and it disgusted me. YongJuGol looks the same yet a little busier than I remember. My ex-wife owned the Arirang Store next to the motorcycle shop on the main drag. Mr Kim Tae Won the TaeKwonDo instructor was the resident 'gangpei' gangster who ruled the town while I was there, ... I miss YakiManDu, BulGoGi, and KimPab. And don't forget the deep fried squid wrapped in the TM pages of a sighting system for the Sheridan Tank (!) A short-time was 3 dollars and an overnight was 5 dollars. The Turkey Farm past the bridge had a gal that would do 'acrobatics' with a dog that we stole to become our mascot!!!! I remember the KNPs beating the hell out of the 'mountain woman' who had no home and was always scavenging for food in the garbage, ... and the poor kids who were shunned because they were 1/2 Korean and 1/2 God knows what else. All in all , it was great duty, lots of field training, alerts, and the field whores, ... and who could forget the morning PT at 18 degrees below zero with a windchill factor that would turn your marbles into raisins! Go easy Bros, ........... Sgt. Greg Lawritson (US Army 1974-1978)
