Comments: My father, 1st Lt Jim H. Blair was a company commander (I think C company) 120th Combat Engineers in Korea 1950-51. He was living in Stillwater Oklahoma at the time of activation. He is now deceased and I'm trying to find anyone who may have served with him or knew him during this time. I've recently aquired every letter that he sent home from Korea and am able to trace some of his travels.

Comments: My dad, Donald Ireland, served with The 120th Combat Engineers and the 45th. He was in country from 11/51 to 4/53. He was at Heartbreak Ridge, the Punch Bowl, and (please excuse the spelling) Chungamol east of Chorwon. He wore a pool table, a DUI, and of course the Thunderbird. He also trained with the 82nd prior to Korea and went through canadian Commando school as well as Field Force leadership school. I also know he worked in the war room at some time while in country. Any and all info anyone would be greatly appriciated. Dad passed away in Feb, of 2001 and my brother and I are trying to put together his service history. Thanks to all for your help.

Comments: Hello, Although I have a few veteran relatives that have served in Korea since the Conflict I am trying to find out if your 120th Engrs is the same unit that was with the AEF in WWI France. I had a great uncle who died of disease and a grandfather who served with A Co 9th Batt. 120th Engr and have not been able to find Order of Battle or unit information. If you have anything I would appreciate it. Good Luck with your projects as a Veteran Service Officer it is such a delight to see the veterans reach out and find each other. Comments: H & S Co. has had a reunion every two years Starting in 1972. Contact me for details.
I have a database of 120th Engineers which has about 450 entries. These entries are mainly for H & S Co, it also includes some data on Veterans from the line companies mainly "A", "B" and "D".
If you are looking for a individual. I will check my database for the name. The more information you send the better.
Most of the men in my list served in Korea before 1953. I would like to add your name to my list.

Comments: I am interested in finding out information on what happened to my dad. None of my family members have ever told me and no one is around to ask. My father, Joseph Edmund Ward, was from Thunderhawk South Dakota. Lemmon South Dakota was about 15 minutes away. He joined November 6, 1952, in Sioux Falls SD. While he was over there he was injured. Details are sketchy, all I know is that a bomb had exploded and he was badly injured on the right side of his body. He lost his eye, hand and half his stomach. He survived Thank God! because I'm here to ask anyone if they may have any information. He was 5'8", Blonde Hair, Gray eyes. He spent time in a hospital in PA, possibly Pheonix PA. His selective service # is 39 21 32 83. Service # was US55 305 597
I would greatly appreciate any information. Roslyn Ullman

I served in H&S Co. Assault Platoon Oct.1952 until Mar. 1953. I was
returned to the U.S.because I was underage. Right before I left Korea,
we had a U.S.O. show.My platoon Sgt.R.B.Randall asked someone connected
with the show to call me on stage to congratulate me on my sixteenth
birthday in Korea.
My name is Roger Chrisley but my nick name was "Combat".If anyone knows
me, please send an e-mail to me.
Some of our missions was to plug up any holes that might happen if the
guy up north decided to come south. We really were a bastard outfit, we
didn't do anything with the company we were attached to.
The Assault Platoon had 5 medium Sherman tanks, and 2 armored personel
carriers that we used on some of our missions. We had blades on the
front of our tanks,so if we had to go somewhere and there weren't any
roads, we'd simply make one.
We had quite a bit of fire power, since the tanks were equipped with two
30 cal. machine guns,one 50 cal.and one 76 MM cannon,and each APC were
equipped with one 30 cal.and one 50 cal. We would cover tunnels, clear
mine fields, and generally take life easy.
